Geek Girl Event Refund/Cancellation Policy

Event Cancellation by Geek Girl

Geek Girl reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable.

If Geek girl cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund.

Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, Geek Girl has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.

Event Registration Cancellation by Participant

Tickets are Non-Refundable for any and all events by Geek Girl.

Transfer Policy: Geek Girl attendees may transfer the financial value of their registration to a co-worker, friend, family member, etc., for no charge if written notification (to [email protected]) is given up to 3 business days before the event – unless specifically stated on registration materials. After that point, Geek Girl will make every attempt to assist transferring the ticket, but it may have to be done the day of the event at registration due to the staff being busy with the event and there must be written notification in hand by original participant.

Credit Policy: Though tickets are non-refundable, if a participant cannot for any reason, attend the event nor can they find a replacement for the ticket and transfer, participant is eligible for credit to another event or a workshop/seminar at a later time. In order for this to happen, participant MUST contact Geek Girl BEFORE the event, not after. If participant has not contacted – nor has proof of contact ever being made before the event – credit cannot be applied unless person in charge of event decides to approve credit. This will usually come in the form of an email and participant must show this proof in order to apply credit to next event.

Other:

Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event.

All transfer requests must be made by the attendee or credit card holder.

All transfer requests must include the name of the organization, attendee and/or transaction number.

If for some reason, participant has hit the charge button twice and received duplicate tickets, the participant must contact Geek Girl immediately to make them aware of the situation. Geek Girl will then research to find out if just a ticket was generated or if a ticket and payment was generated twice. If a ticket is indeed generated twice, Geek Girl will refund that ticket immediately if notified within 24 hours of ticket being duplicated. After 24 hours, the participant must contact Geek Girl by email at [email protected], and explain the situation. Geek Girl will then choose the best way to refund the money in full, whether by refunded the credit card or by check, and the participant will know within 7 days.

If the participant chooses to bypass contacting Geek Girl and go right to their credit card company for a refund, it will then be completely out of Geek Girl’s hands and participant will have to wait the normal time for the process to work out between credit card companies and merchant processors and could take up to a few months for them to settle.

RETURN & EXCHANGE RMA PROCESS
Please contact our Customer Support Team BEFORE sending back a shipment to us via our Return Merchandise Authorization process (RMA). This will allow us to confirm that we have the inventory in stock and can be better prepared for the arrival of your shipment with faster processing. The RMA process will work the same if you are the recipient of a gift from Geek Girl. Please explain in detail what the problem is so we can assist you in an efficient manner.

RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY
We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. Your unworn, unused item(s) may be returned or exchanged within 60 days of ship date. Please note that items received after 60 days of ship date will only be eligible for an exchange. Any defective item or incorrect shipment will be replaced at no shipping charge to you.

Exchanges:
You can return unworn, unused items within 60 days of ship date for an exchange. We will send you the requested item at no shipping charge to you.

The customer is responsible for all return freight charges, including duty and tax, if applicable. We cannot accept C.O.D. shipments. For your protection, we suggest all returns be sent back to us through a traceable carrier. Most major carriers offer tracking information; however, domestic and international parcel packages are typically not traceable.

Please allow 5 business days after receipt in our warehouse for your exchange to be processed and shipped to you. For faster processing, please follow the requested RMA guidelines.

Returns:
You can also return unworn, unused items within 60 days of ship date for a refund, less the original shipping and handling fees. Tags should still be on garments. The refund will include the retail price paid, plus any applicable sales tax, to the credit card on the original order. Please note that items received after 60 days of ship date will only be eligible for an exchange.

PRICE ADJUSTMENTS
One-time item price adjustments will be honored if we are notified within 10 days of order shipment date. Refund amount will be made to the original form of payment. We will not refund to match promotional discounts or coupon codes, as they do not apply to previous purchases.
