Geek Girl Tech Boot Camp Cape Cod 2010 is Booked!

Well, you asked for it. And we are bringing it! So save the date.

We booked the first of our 2010 Geek Girl Camp Boot Camps in the place where it all began; Cape Cod, Massachusetts! And if you think Cape Cod is not a mecca for inspiring geek girls, then tell that to the 200 ladies who attended last year!

Cape Cod Boot Camp 2010 will be held on Saturday, March 6th from 9am to 5pm at the same location, the Cape Cod Community College Adult Learning Center in Hyannis, MA. We could not resist their 3 fully equipped computer labs that enabled us to provide some awesome seminars from our last Boot Camp.

We are extremely excited that O’Reilly Media has once again stated their continued support for Geek Girl Boot Camps as a Sponsor and will have an even greater presence at the upcoming events. Really excited Laurel Ackerman and crew from O’Reilly see the importance of attending our educational conferences; we cannot thank them enough.

We are also pleased as punch to unveil a starting lineup that will knock your socks off!

Returning to Cape Cod Boot Camp 2010 is the extremely talented and always smiling, Lesa Snider. If you took a class from Lesa last year, you know that she is all about design, graphics, photography and Adobe design products, including Photoshop and Indesign. Lesa is a best-selling author, penning this year’s successful  Photoshop CS4: The Missing Manual for O’Reilly Media. Lesa will be back with new tricks from her stints at Mac World, Photoshop World and all the other bazillion places she teaches and speaks at.

We are also honored and excited that the great GenY blogger and Social Media maven, Corvida Raven, is reporting to Boot Camp straight from Hotlanta with the Awesomesauce! Known as the “Oprah of the Web”, Corvida is one of the most exceptional young talents on the web and will blow your socks off with her knowledge of, well, everything from consumer products to blogging to Social Media!

Also reporting to duty are longtime Geek Girls and their area of expertise – we are truly honored to have such professionals working with us. While there may be other events you can go to, there are no events that cater to women who are in need of technology skills like Geek Girl Camp taught by female experts who are professionals in their field. All of our speakers are either college-educated, certified or experienced in their fields for many years. Trust the people who do this for a living!
