This guy totally misses a view of a lifetime because…he was texting. GADS!

Photographer Eric Smith captured this incredible moment on Instagram from a whale-watching excursion in Redondo Beach, California: “A small private sailboat maneuvered really close to the whales, and this guy on it was literally sitting in that position and never moved . . . I thought it sucked that he missed such a wonderful moment happening just two feet in front of him.”

Well, at least Eric Smith got the shot for him.

FacePalm.
